Locust Hill Beer started in 2015 as a post retirement hobby for the founder and head brewer, Kevin. He spent his career as an engineer and was eager to take on the challenges of brewing beer. After several trial and error runs he was finally able to dial in the system and turn out beer enjoyed by friends and family. One of the first recipes created was a Kolsch style ale, which was entered into a local brewing contest in 2017 ; his beer won first place and sparked the idea of expanding Locust Hill to what it is today, offering many styles of locally brewed ales and lagers.
